Synthetic fiber packing:
The synthetic fiber packings usually have better performance than natural fibre in most of the application area because the synthetic fibre has better temperature resistance, chemical resistance and better fibre strength. The packings are also required to be impregnated with PTFE, Graphite or lubricants. In some applications for instance paper mills and chemical plants, the synthetic fibre packings is a great economic choice as a replacement of expensive PTFE packings or cheap but prohibited asbestos packings.
